Presentation of the Associazione Interculturale NUR:
The Associazione Interculturale NUR is a nonprofit association founded in 1999 and based in Cagliari, Sardinia. It is active in the field of intercultural integration, promoting and organizing cultural events, training experiences, and informational seminars for young people. The association strives to combat the cultural isolation of young Sardinians through intercultural mobility experiences and non-formal education.
Presentation of the European Solidarity Corps:
The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union initiative that offers young people aged 18 to 30 opportunities for volunteering, internships, or work in the field of social solidarity. The program aims to promote solidarity, strengthen social cohesion, and encourage young people's involvement in volunteer actions to support communities and individuals in need.
NUR's Role in the European Solidarity Corps:
Associazione Interculturale NUR is an active partner in the European Solidarity Corps. With a "Lead" Quality Label it hosts and sends European volunteers to participate in its projects. Volunteers engage in a variety of activities, including non-formal education, promoting interculturality and solidarity, and social inclusion of migrants. By working with NUR, volunteers have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of local society and strengthen ties between cultures.
Description of the project:
- The volunteer will participate in a project focused on creating media content to discover and highlight immigrant communities in Cagliari, experiences from the world of Non Formal Education and from the Youth Work environment in Sardinia.
- They will support youth groups in their training as e-sports teams and assist in the dissemination of online media content, training the youth in streaming and programming content.
- The volunteer will also contribute to creating content for the association's social media management and setting up an editorial committee for our local network of active partners in the field of youth mobility.
- They will be involve in promoting, facilitating, and managing the logistics of our local events to promote youth work and youth mobility. Additionally, the volunteer will supporte the management of the digital badge platform.
- The project also include the production of cultural materials, such as a user map of Cagliari, and the opportunity to carry out a personal project based on the volunteer's skills and interests.
- Through these various activities, the volunteer will help promote social inclusion, creativity, and youth engagement in the Cagliari community, thereby strengthening intercultural ties and learning opportunities for all.
