I have increased awareness about my personal and social skills development. This badge shows I find it important to work on my personal and social skills throughout the volunteering project.
I had to accomplish at least 1 out of 2 tasks to earn this badge and evidence was reviewed and confirmed by my mentor.
The badge is part of the Achievements Programme for the European Solidarity Corps.

1. Remember the first days or weeks when you just arrived in the new country, community and organisation. What was surprising and new for you in terms of cultural differences or “the way things are done?”
Was it a total cultural shock or rather similar to the place you are coming from?
Share briefly here as a text or a short audio story about your first impressions and intercultural discoveries.

2. Are you noticing some clear cultural patterns already? What if a new volunteer is about to arrive in this community? Make a list of some cultural do´s and don´ts in your new community.
