This badge symbolises my growth in active citizenship, awareness of my surroundings, and my role in fostering community development.
I have taken proactive steps towards creating a positive impact in my volunteering environment and gaining a deeper understanding of the local community and its governance.
I had to accomplish at least 2 out of 3 tasks to earn this badge and evidence was reviewed and confirmed by my mentor.
The badge is part of the Achievements Programme for the European Solidarity Corps.

We challenge you to discover the political structure of the country you are volunteering in. What type of political system is it here? Who are the most important politicians, and other persons you think it is worth to know them?
For the evidence, write down 5 names of important people and explain why they are important.
The task is completed after the mentor confirms your evidence.

Talk to local young people you work with or people at the organisation where you volunteer. Try to identify what are the issues, challenges that young people can contribute to solving it?
Upload your findings as a short audio report, or as a text.
The task is completed after the mentor confirms your evidence.
