I proactively dedicated time and effort to learning basics in the local language.
This badge shows I understand the importance of learning the language to succeed at volunteering.
I had to accomplish at least 1 out of 2 tasks to earn this badge, and evidence was reviewed and confirmed by my mentor.
The badge is part of the Achievements Programme for the European Solidarity Corps.

Task no.1

Issued by organiser or scanning QR code

Go to your fridge and list all the products you have over there in the local language.
If you don't have a fridge or the fridge is empty, make a list of the products you usually use.
Make it not less than 20!
For the evidence, upload a photo of a list with translations to the local language.
The badge will be issued after the mentor confirms your evidence.

Think of any other task, which would lead you to learn 20 words in a local language. Describe the task you created and upload evidence of learning these 20 words. It can be a photo, video or your short reflection on learning local language.
The task is completed after the mentor confirms your evidence.
